At the current Ecopark in Waalwijk, energy is generated with wind turbines, solar panels and biomass. More and more roofs of private households, government buildings and companies make use of solar panels. A good start has already been made, however of the energy generation in the municipality of Waalwijk only 3% is sustainable. This indicates that there is still a long way to go.

The municipality of Waalwijk cannot realize this task by themselves alone and for that reason a collaboration has been established with Brabant Water and Eneco (the company that exploits the current wind turbines).

The municipality of Waalwijk, Brabant Water and Eneco are planning to redevelop the windturbines in the Ecopark.
