Kreekraksluis: Transformation to ultra-modern wind park
The Wind Park Kreekraksluis in Zeeland is undergoing a metamorphosis. Step by step it grows into an ultra-modern wind park. 16 old turbines give way to 31 new wind turbines. The old turbines have been disassembled and will be shipped – except for one – to South America for re-use. The windmill left behind will find its place in the Zeeuws Industrieel Museum.
If the park is ready, it will deliver sustainable energy to about 55,000 households. That equals about all families in the Zeeland areas of Zuid-Beveland, Noord-Beveland and Schouwen-Duiveland together. The redesign of Wind Park Kreekraksluis is a joint initiative of DELTA, Eneco, Winvast and Scheldewind.
Jan Albert Timmerman has as a project lawyer been involved in the purchase and construction of the wind turbines.
