StoredEnergy; the installation of a 120 kWh battery at a sports club
StoredEnergy is a consultancy firm active within the field of storage of renewable energy. As an independent expert with access to all storage technologies – including: lithium-ion, flow batteries, salt-water batteries and hydrogen – StoredEnergy advises individuals, companies, governments, wind and solar parks and investors.
In the fall of 2019, StoredEnergy installed a large battery at the LTC Triomf tennis club in Bergschenhoek in order to store generated solar energy. This as part of a project that was carried out in collaboration with the SportInnovator and the Dutch Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport.
During the day, the excess solar energy from 152 solar panels is stored in a large battery. In the evening, when the tennis court lighting comes on, the energy comes from the battery and not the grid. This makes the tennis club LTC Triomf the first amateur sports club in the Netherlands with a battery that stores locally generated solar energy for later use. The aim is to test the chances of energy storage for making sports facilities more sustainable.
RenewabLAW has advised StoredEnergy on the cooperation agreement.
