The energy cooperative Dommelstroom has plans for a hydroelectric plant. The construction of the hydroelectric power will take place in the river “Dommel”, linked to the dam situated in Sint-Michielsgestel, The Netherlands. The plant will be mid-2016 put into effect. In addition to financial contributions from third parties, 450 members of  Dommelstroom raised the required amount. The plant has on average a productivity of 650,000 kWh (kilowatt hour) per year. The hydroelectric power generated is enough for 200 households.
